The European research agenda on Geriatric Emergency Medicine will be compiled in 3 phases:

1. Phase 1 is divergent: as many potential research questions will be collected through an online questionnaire throughout Europe.
2. Phase 2 is quality control. Questions will be categorized and checked for quality and duplications. After that, questions will be deselected if they have already been answered in a publication.
3. Phase 3 is prioritizing: the questions derived from phase 1 are set out in a survey throughout Europe to prioritize.
