Do you have a system for #delirium care in your hospital?

Lessons from the last few yrs show that achieving improvements in delirium care is a particularly complex challenge.

Need action on several fronts - all are needed.

Frailty assessed at ED triage (with the Clinical Frailty Scale) is associated with adverse outcomes in older people.

The main results from my @alzheimerssoc funded #phd are out. #delirium increases risk of future cognitive decline and #dementia, with greater delirium exposure (more episodes, more days with delirium) associated with worse cognitive outcomes. https://academic.oup.com/ageing/advance-article/doi/10.1093/ageing/afaa244/6035274
